PostPosted: Fri Dec 09, 2005    Post subject: cannot delete an event Reply with quote

Just installed Plans 7.5.1 and when trying to delete an event nothing happens. I can edit the event and remove all info for a workaround but when I right click on the event, select the event, and then click yes, delete the event, nothing happens. I see error on page at the bottom left of my screen ( a js error to be sure). Am I missing a permissions setting or what? Any ideas

Thanks

Can you supply a link?

When you click on the js error icon, does it give any additional details?

I too am having an issue with that link.

I upgraded to 7.5.1 and now I see the ###delete event link### instead of the link.

The post above is having a problem with the right-click delete option, not the delete link in the pop-up details window.

The pop-up details delete issue is addressed in this thread:

Hi, I'm having the same issue as the poster. The details on the error box:

Line: 81
Char: 5
Error: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object
Code: 0

Sorry I can't give you a URL, it's on an intranet.

Thanks,

Cat

What browser are you using?

Do you see any javascript errors when the page is first loaded, or just when you right-click to delete the event?

I've tested it in both Firefox 1.5.0.1 and IE 6 with the same result. What happens:

Right click
Choose Delete Event
Popup with delete link comes up
Click link
Nothing happens, but there is an error reported on the page, as listed above.

There are no javascript errors when the page first loads, and none on the delete-event popup until the link is clicked.

Hope this helps.

Any ideas on this one yet? I sure would love to make it work.

Thanks!

Without being able to see the page, there's not much debugging I can do.

One thing you can check is the id (...) from the document.getElementById(...) error. What is that id? In the html source, is there an element with that id?

I posted the error exactly as it appeared--there actually was no id, so I've got nothing to search for. If I get a chance, I'll try reinstalling somewhere public, and see if the error persists.
